• Lilinangin sa seryeng ito ng Pintig ang kakayahan ng mga mag-aaral upang mapatatag at mapahusay ang kasanayan sa kritikal na pag-iisip sa tulong ng brainbased approach. Isinaalang-alang sa seryeng ito ang pagtitipon ng mga araling tutugon sa pangangailangang panlipunan, lokal at global na pamayanan, isyung pangkalikasan, at personal na pag-unlad ng mga mag-aaral

MABUTING BATA, MAGANDANG PAG-UUGALI BATAYANG AKLAT PARA SA EDUKASYON SA PAGPAPAKATAO

Tumutulong sa paghubog ng mga mag-aaral na may wastong pag-uugali at kagandahangasal

• Punum-puno ng mga kawili-wiling pagsasanay na huhubog sa kabataan upang magkaroon ng wastong pag-uugali at kagandahang-asal
• Sumusunod sa developmental approach sa pagtuturo ng Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao at positibong pag-uugali para sa kabataan
• Tumutulong sa pagpapatibay ang mga kaugaliang Pilipino na nakatuon sa pagmamahal at pag-aaruga sa sarili, pamilya, komunidad; pangangalaga sa kalikasan at kapaligiran; at pagmamahal sa Diyos
• Ipinakikilala sa mga mag-aaral ang proseso ng pagpapahalaga sa pamamagitan ng mga kasanayang nagpapakita ng kaaya-ayang paguugali
• Binibigyan-diin sa mga aklat na ito ang “learning by doing” sa pamamagitan ng mga pagsasanay at humihikayat sa mga mag-aaral na isabuhay ang mga natutuhan sa silid-aralan.

LUNDAY NG KALINANGANG PILIPINO

• Kinakatawan ng pangalan ng serye ang isang sisidlan o sentrong kinaroroonan ng yamang materyal ng mga taong pinag-isa ng layuning kanilang itinataguyod.

• Alinsunod sa K to 12 Kurikulum
• Paggalang sa mag-aaral: Naglalahad ang aklat ng mga kaalaman, larawan, gawain, at mga tanong na nagsasaalang-alang sa mga katangian, pangangailangan, kakayahan, at interes ng mag-aaral ayon sa kanyang gulang at kulturang kinagisnan.
• Nakatutok ang programa sa kabuoang pag-unlad ng mag-aaral: Patnubay sa pagpili at pagsusunod-sunod ng mga tema at aralin sa bawat baitang ang lahat ng aspetong bumubuo sa paglaki at pag-unlad ng isang tao habang kinikilala ang bahaging ginagampanan ng pamilya, kapaligiran, at kultura ng pamayanang kinalakihan ng mag-aaral.
• Gumagamit ng mga pagsasanay sa pagsukat ng kabuoang pag-unlad ng mag-aaral: Hindi para lamang sa pagtaya ng academic achievement ng mag-aaral ang mga pagsusulit sa aklat. Ang resulta ng mga pagsusulit ay para matukoy ang mga aspetong kailangan pang paunlarin para maging buo ang personalidad ng mga mag-aaral.
• Bahagi ng isang continuum ang mga aralin mula kinder hanggang baitang 6: Papalawak, magkakaugnay, at konstruktibo batay sa mga naging karanasan ng mag-aaral ang mga kaalaman, kasanayan, at pagpapahalaga o values na nililinang sa bawat baitang. Makikita ang spiral progression ng mga aralin sa tulong ng isang matrix o grid na nagpapakita sa vertical at horizontal alignment o pagkakaugnay-ugnay ng mga aralin mula kinder hanggang baitang 6.
• Malinaw at tiyak ang mga inaasahang bunga ng pagkatuto sa bawat baitang: Magkakaugnay, malinaw, at papataas ayon sa baitang na kinauukulan ang mga pamantayang itinakda para sa mga pangkalahatan at mga kaugnay na tema sa mga araling napapaloob sa bawat isang aklat. Sa tulong ng mga gawaing instruksiyonal, mga kagamitan, at mahahalagang tanong, matataya kapwa ng guro at ng mag-aaral kung gaano ang natutuhan at kung hanggang saan naabot ang mga pamantayang pangnilalaman (content standards) at pamantayan sa pagganap (performance standards) na itinakda para sa mga paksang-aralin.
