Science in Today’s World: Research in Daily Life 2 offers a basic, inclusive, and comprehensive overview and concept-based discussion of the quantitative research process prescribed by the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum in the Philippines. The book first examines the nature of scientific inquiry and of quantitative research. It then details the general steps in doing a practical quantitative investigation—from discussing the sources of problems in daily life and from research literature to writing the research report and oral dissemination of research findings. Further, the book provides a well and meticulously selected set of features that not only easily facilitates students’ understanding of the research processes but also helps generate solutions to everyday problems experienced by students coming from a wide range of socioeconomic status.
