• Since the nature of the subject is teaching values with the goal of making the learners eventually internalize and practice the values, this series follows the process of going through the five macro skills: pag-unawa (understanding), pagninilay (reflecting), pagsangguni (consulting), pagpapasya (decision making), and pagkilos (performing/acting).
• The lessons in the series effectively use these five macro skills to enable the learners to eventually develop desirable attitudes and habits, for them to grow in their capacity and personal commitment to do their best, to do what is the good, and to lead a more meaningful and integrated human experience.
• As our young Filipino learners go through the lessons in the series, they will hopefully learn:
• pagpapakatao at pagiging kasapi ng pamilya (becoming human and family responsibility);
• pakikipagkapwa (treating others as fellow human beings);
• pagmamahal sa bansa at pakikibahagi sa pandaigdigang pagkakaisa (love of country and global solidarity); and
• pagkamaka-Diyos at preperensya sa kabutihan (love for God and preference for the good).
• The series envisions young persons who are committed to self-fulfillment, family-centered, disciplined and self-reliant, socially mature and emotionally stable, nationalistic and responsible citizens, and God-loving and deeply rooted in their faith in God.
• Character Formation for Nation Building series supports the national education goal—to provide a well-rounded education that will assist each individual in his or her society and help the individual attain his or her potential as a human being, and to enhance the range and quality of the individuals within the group.

• Features Sunshine and Joaquin, the two main characters in the series, as they grow up in their values formation from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
• Each lesson begins with a story, poem, song, and other varied activities to get learners to think about the lesson to be discussed and at the same time for the teacher to check their current understanding of the topic.
• Each lesson ends with a Check Yourself! section which leads the learners to assess and clarify their values.
• The unit ends with a Unit Test using the Knowledge (K), Process (P), and Understanding (U) forms of assessment. The last type—Product or the Performance Task—is integrated in the Learning Guides to give students some element of surprise for the final assessment that they need to do.
• The worktext series is written in English to give our young Filipino people the opportunity to learn the Values Education course with ease from a global perspective—enabling them to articulate the finest of our values with other students or persons across different regions and cultures.
• The series is also accompanied by comprehensive curriculum maps that can be useful in planning the lessons.
• The authors of this series believe in the natural goodness of children and their capacity to become persons of good moral character. This series looks at the real-life applications of mathematics. It presents mathematics as a pervasive aspect of our life—from its more useful applications to its most trival contributions to knowledge.

Ang seryeng PINTIG ng Lahing Pilipino ay lumilinang ng mga kasanayang nakasalig sa batayang konseptuwal sa pagtuturo ng Filipino na itinakda ng K to 12 Kurikulum ng DepEd. Pinapatnubayan nito ang mga mag-aaral sa pagpapahusayng mga makrong kasanayan— pakikinig, pagsasalita, pagbasa, pagsulat, at panonood.

Isinaalang-alang din sa seryeng ito ang mga konsepto hinggil sa pangangailangang panlipunan, lokal at global na pamayanan, at ang kalikasan ng mga mag-aaral.

Makatutulong ang serye sa paglinang ng mga kaisipan at pilosopiyang Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng paglalakip ng mga piling akda at tekstong hahamon sa kakayahan ng mga mag-aaral sa kritikal na pag-iisipat replektibong panunuri.

Tinatalakay ang mga aralin gamit ang makabagong teknolohiya upang mapalawak ang kaalaman ng mga mag-aaral sa kapaki-pakinabang na gawain tungo sa mga angkop na propesyon. Nakapaloob din sa serye ang paggamit ng mga teorya sa kalikasan at pagtuturo ng wika, mga teorya at simulain sa pagsusuring panliterasi, at mga pagdulog sa pagtuturo ng mga akdang pampanitikan. Sa tulong din nito, naisasabuhay ang mga pagpapahalagang Pilipino na nakasalig sa mga paksang tungkol sa pangangalaga sa kalikasan, pagkakapantay-pantay anuman ang kasarian, paggalang sa karapatang pantao, at pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at katarungan sa bayan.

May dalawang aklat na nakalaan sa bawat baitang/antas. Ang mga ito ay ang Batayang Aklat at ang Learning Guide.

• Batayang Aklat—Ang bawat aralin ay naaayon sa antas ng pagkatuto na itinatadhana ng Department of Education. Ito ay binubuo ng sumusunod na mga bahagi: Simulan Natin; Basahin Natin na nahahati sa mga gawaing Payamanin Natin, Talakayin Natin, Tukuyin Natin, at Isabuhay Natin; Linangin Natin na binubuo ng mga pagsasanay pangwika; at Likhain Natin.
• Learning Guide—Naglalaman ito ng iba’t ibang estratehiya at pamamaraan sa pagtuturo. Nagtataglay rin ito ng mga sagot sa pagsasanay at pagpapahalagang nililinang sa bawat aralin. May kalakip din itong curriculum map upang maihatid nang maayos at malinaw ang mga aralin sa mga mag-aaral.

The New English Experience for Us (NEXUS) offers a straightforward learning package aimed at developing learners’ communicative competence through an appreciation of literature and other text types. It can be used in different modalities: face-to-face, distance learning (online or modular), or hybrid setup, making it an excellent learning buddy in a flexible learning environment. The contents are presented through simple and complex activities to achieve English proficiency and to provide feedback to learning coaches and other stakeholders.
